How to Use Canva: A Beginner’s Guide

How to send us your Canva design

To ensure we receive your design correctly and in the best format for production, please use one of the two options below:

Option 1: Share Your Canva Link (preferred)

• Open your design in Canva.

• Click the "Share" button in the top-right corner.

• Under “General access,” change the setting to “Anyone with the link” and set the permission to “Can edit.”

• Click “Copy link.”

• Paste the link into an email and send it to us at info@lasercutblanks.com.au

* We need edit access to properly prepare your files for laser cutting and printing.

Option 2: Download and Email as an SVG File

• Open your design in Canva.

• Click the "Share" button, then choose “Download.”

• In the File Type dropdown, select SVG (Canva Pro required).

• Click “Download.”

• Email the SVG file to us at info@lasercutblanks.com.au

If you have any questions or need help, feel free to contact us!

Important information about Canva files

To ensure your design is printed or cut correctly, please make sure of the following:

Correct Sizing:

Your Canva design must be set to the exact size you want the final product to be. Canva uses pixels by default, so we recommend switching to millimetres (mm) or inches when setting up your design.

(Example: If you want a 300mm x 200mm sign, set your Canva design size to 300mm x 200mm.)

Include All Required Details:

Please double-check that your design includes:

  • Any cut lines, outlines, or borders if needed
  • Correct spelling and layout
  • Final colours as you'd like them printed or engraved

Fonts:

Make sure all fonts are accessible (Canva fonts are fine). If you use uploaded/custom fonts, please let us know in case we need to match or replace them.

Images & Elements:

Ensure all elements are high quality. Avoid low-resolution images, especially for printing.
